Marketing Assistant

Sydney Tisthammer is a Marketing Assistant at Nano-Yield, where she supports a wide range of initiatives across the team. She primarily manage our social media platforms, helping share our unique story, and connect with growers. She got to be creative every day while contributing to meaningful work in agriculture! Sydney graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Public Relations and a minor in Agribusiness. She grew up in a small farming community in northeast Nebraska, where she was surrounded by agriculture from an early age. Her dad has been a seed dealer for about 15 years, so she spent a lot of time riding along on seed calls and connecting with farmers—where Sydney jokingly earned the unofficial title of his “manager". We also had a few cattle growing up. In high school, she was involved in FFA, where she participated in the agriscience fair. What excites her the most about working at Nano-Yield is the team and the opportunity to grow with the company. Everyone brings great energy and personality, which makes it a fun and motivating environment. She also loves that she can make a real impact through marketing as we continue to build and expand. What Sydney loves most about being in agriculture is the people and the purpose behind the work. It truly matters and makes a difference in our everyday lives. She also loves hearing everyone’s story—how they got to where they are and the “why” behind what they do. In Sydney's free time, she loves being outside and going on walks. She also enjoys being creative—whether that’s writing or reading, especially books by her favorite author, Freida McFadden. She has always been passionate about deer hunting with her dad. They hunt near their home in Nebraska, and they have also taken trips to Colorado, which have been especially meaningful and full of great memories. She enjoys cooking and baking. She would love to get into embroidery at some point—if she has the patience for it, haha! She is a big animal lover and has a soft spot for cats.
