  • Is Nano-Yield Technology patented?

Yes: Nano-Yield has over 8 patents associated with the manufacturing and commercialization of our proprietary technology.

  • What is nanoliquid technology?

Nanoliquid technology is a patented carrier additive that uses nanoparticles to load and carry any liquid products in a tank mixture. Loaded nanoparticles deliver a higher volume of crop inputs when applied to plants.

  • How does nanoliquid technology work?

    • Loading: Nanoparticles load with fertilizers and crop protection products instantly through ionic exchange on the charged surface of the nanoparticle.
    • Delivery: Loaded nanoparticles are rapidly absorbed into leaves and roots through a process called endocytosis.
    • Release: Products are released and available to the plant after the nanoparticle is absorbed.
  • Do I need to worry about compatibility?

Nanoliquid products are highly compatible with other fertilizer and chemical products.  Contact your local sales representative for information about specific products.

  • How have nanoliquid products been tested?

Nanoliquid technology research and trials are ongoing in cooperation with research institutions and large growers. Nano-Yield™ has performed and sponsored hundreds of trials on various crops. Contact your sales representative for more information.

  • Do I need to change my current fertility program?

No, nanoliquid technology enhances the efficiency of your current crop inputs without changing your program.

  • What kind of ROI (return on investment) should growers expect?

Growers who add nanoliquid products with every application can expect improvements in crop yield and quality, as well as improved control of weeds, diseases, and insect pests. Growers report an ROI starting at 3:1 and much higher in many cases.

  • Are there any restrictions on application to certain crops?

Generally no, however some products are registered differently depending on your state. Contact your sales representative for more information.

  • Why are nanoliquid rates from only 2-6 oz per acre?

  • What is endocytosis?

While most conventional products rely on active transport and diffusion, Nano-Yield is different because it uses endocytosis.

Endocytosis is a natural process where a cell engulfs and pulls in nanoparticles from outside itself by wrapping its outer membrane around them and bringing them inside. In plants, it’s one way nutrients or small nanoparticles can enter the cell in a more “bulk uptake” form rather than moving in one ion at a time.

  • How can Nano-Yield products save me money?

Nano-Yield products help you get more out of every input - improving nutrient uptake and spray performance so less is wasted. That means fewer resprays, better efficiency, and more yield per dollar spent.

  • Are nanoparticles the same as a chelate?

No, they’re not the same. Chelates are nutrients chemically bound to a molecule that helps keep them stable and available for plant uptake. Nanoparticles are ultra-small particles that can enter the plant more directly, improving delivery and efficiency without needing a traditional chelating agent.

Nano-yield vs other efficiency products

  • What is the benefit of NanoPro compared to Humic Acid?

Humic acid primarily improves soil structure, water retention, and nutrient availability, benefiting plants indirectly. NanoPro®, on the other hand, improves the immediate uptake of foliar sprays and other applied products, helping plants respond faster and more effectively to each application.

  • What is the benefit of NanoPro compared to Ammonium sulfate?

NanoPro® improves how sprays are absorbed for faster, stronger results. Ammonium sulfate supplies nitrogen and helps some herbicides, but doesn’t boost absorption like NanoPro®.

  • What is the benefit of NanoPro compared to Non-ionic surfactant (NIS)?

NanoPro® increases the uptake and effectiveness of sprays, so plants respond faster. Non-ionic surfactants only help sprays spread on leaves and don’t enhance absorption.

  • What is the benefit of NanoPro compared to Crop Oil Concentrate (COC)?

Crop Oil Concentrate (COC) mainly improves spray coverage and sticking, helping herbicides adhere to leaves, but it doesn’t actively enhance uptake into the plant and performance like NanoPro®.

  • What is the benefit of NanoPro compared to Methylated Seed Oil (MSO)?

NanoPro® boosts the uptake and effectiveness of herbicides, fungicides, and nutrients for faster, stronger results. MSO mainly helps herbicides stick and penetrate leaves but doesn’t enhance overall spray absorption like NanoPro®.

  • What is the benefit of NanoPro compared to silicon based adjuvants?

NanoPro® helps sprays get into plants faster and work more effectively. Silicon-based adjuvants mainly improve coverage and spreading but don’t enhance overall absorption like NanoPro®.

  • Can adjuvants and/or surfactants be left out of the tank as Nanoparticles improve penetration and uptake through the leaf cuticle?

The nanotechnology in NanoPro and other Nano-Yield products is not a replacement for traditional surfactants since it has a completely different mode of action.

In some cases you may be able to eliminate or reduce your other adjuvant products, but always consult with a Nano-Yield sales representative before changing your program.

  • How does NanoCote compare to NitroLock?
