Tim DeGroot

California Agriculture is something that Tim has lived and breathed his whole life. From growing up on a cattle ranch to studying plant science in college Tim truly understands the pressures and changes that California farmers have had to face over the years. He’s excited to be a part of the future of farming. Tim is excited about being part of Aqua-Yield with a technology that, as he puts it, simply works. He can’t wait to continue growing the popularity of it in California. Tim can be found spending time with his wife and three kids with their busy schedule, working on classic cars, or working around the house.

Garrett Hayden

One of our newest warehouse technicians is Garrett Hayden and we are happy to have him join Aqua-Yield. We are excited to help Garrett in his journey in Aqua-Yield and agriculture and help him learn the industry. He is most excited about being a part of the growing technologies in the agriculture industry and helping distribute it. When he isn’t helping in the warehouse, you can find his creative mind developing artwork and comic books. He also puts his talents into writing fiction books and stories.

Misty Kempton

Brand new to the marketing team, Misty Kempton grew up surrounded by dairy farms in Wyoming but always had a knack for marketing. She received her Bachelor Degree from Brigham Young University - Idaho in Public Relations and Advertising and has been in the marketing world for the last seven years. Misty is excited for the possibilities that Aqua-Yield has to offer and looks forward to learning about the science and innovation behind the brand. When she’s not at work you can find her hiking up the nearest mountain, playing in the river with her family or catching up on Grey’s Anatomy.

Andrew McCune

Andrew is our newest warehouse technician and we are happy to have him on our team. He received his Bachelor Degree from Utah State University in Agriculture and found himself working for Aqua-Yield and the growing technologies. Andrew loves that Aqua-Yield is able to provide a work environment where he can work with hands. When Andrew is not at work, he is exploring and capturing what Utah has to offer by hiking, mountain climbing and photography.

Garrett Olsen

Garrett is our newest formulation specialist. Garrett is not unknown to the agriculture world as he grew up on a farm which taught him how to think critically and work hard. He’s excited to be part of the scientific innovation that Aqua-Yield brings to agriculture. He enjoys coming to work every day and working with a stellar team to continue doing great work. When Garrett isn’t in the lab coming up with new ideas, you can find him in the gym, playing guitar, and spending time with his loving wife.

Roy Zellmer

Roy is our new Regional Sales Manager for the Great Lakes region. Roy has been involved in agriculture in one way or another all his life from showing cattle to production. It’s something he is truly passionate about. Bringing new technology to his region is something he is thrilled to provide. He’s excited for the culture and opportunities that Aqua-Yield has to offer. When Roy isn’t working you can find him coaching or watching his kids play sports and spending time with his family.

Nano-Yield® would like to congratulate Joel Mahin on his recent promotion to Director of Central Region Sales. Joel’s extensive background in agriculture has given him the valuable knowledge that he brings to work every day. He has experience in production, retail, distribution, agronomy, product development, and sales. As he completes his third sales season at Nano-Yield®, Joel continues to exceed expectations and contribute to the overall growth and success of his distributors, dealers, and growers. Joel started at Nano-Yield® as a Regional Sales Manager, covering Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma. While these states remain part of his territory, Joel is now stepping into the role of Director of Central Region Sales. He will serve as a manager to Regional Sales Managers who cover the Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, and Arkansas regions. Joel said that bringing affordable products that work to the market is what motivates him every day. He wants to help growers succeed while contributing to the growth of his distributors and dealers. Joel hopes to pass on his knowledge and view of the business to the next generation. He said that the thing he enjoys the most about working for Nano-Yield® is the family atmosphere. When asked about his new role, Joel said the following: “I relish the challenge. I’m not done growing in Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. I want to take the model that I started in those three states and spread it to the other areas. There’s still room to grow — we’re not done yet.” Joel is known for his positive attitude, contagious energy, and ability to motivate others around him. When Joel is around, his peers know it’s going to be a fun and successful day. Mark Mitchell, Nano-Yield® Director of Sales U.S., said, “Joel earned this promotion through hard work, excellent sales numbers, and his team respects him and they trust him.” He added that Joel truly cares about his customers. He is a great team player, works well with others, and knows how to get the most out of his team. He’s selfless and all about Nano-Yield®. Landon Bunderson, Nano-Yield® CSO, said, “Joel always leads by example. He sets the tone for how to treat a customer and how to be successful.” We look forward to seeing what Joel accomplishes in his new role and are excited for the years to come. From everyone at Nano-Yield®, congratulations, Joel!
