For 2 years now we have been seeing the power of NanoCS™. Whether the crop is green beans in Florida or corn and soybeans in the Midwest, NanoCS™ provides growers with a positive and consistent return on investment. NanoCS™ is a well-balanced NPK nanoliquid that delivers a robust biostimulant; do not forget the 3% zinc that is included. NanoCS™ is our most comprehensive nanoliquid by far.

The biostimulant package in NanoCS™ was selected for its growth promoting capabilities, especially root growth. The package consists of several key ingredients including D-Ribose, a food source for soil microbes. When microbes are energized from this food source, they go to work and help mineralize and release soil nutrients, making them plant available. These newly available nutrients help feed young developing roots. Along with the 1-2-1-3Zn analysis, you can see why NanoCS™ is a powerhouse.

In all my travels across the country helping to spread the word of nanoliquid and Aqua-Yield®, I have the privilege to talk to many hard-working American farmers.  I love hearing their stories of how nanoliquids have helped solve one of their production problems or even logistical problems.  Remember, nanoliquids are applied at 2-6 ounces per acre and have excellent compatibility.

Nanoliquids truly save time: less fill time at the tank, less freight, less storage needed, and the list goes on. We often over-look these savings when talking to growers because we all want to hear: how did their crop yield? I have presented numerous times in my 2+ years with Aqua-Yield® the positive crop responses we see time and again. But when it came to NanoCS™, one of our dealers asked me if I could summarize all the data we have on NanoCS™. In other words, we have so much individual trial data, a summary would make it easier for them to sift through.

I tasked myself with creating a summary data set of NanoCS™ using our third party independent replicated data to run the numbers since this data is our most abundant. We conducted NanoCS™ trials on corn in 2020 and 2021 at two cooperator sites for a total of 44 replications. The graph summarizes the data with the following conclusions below:

  • The 50% plus NanoCS™ treatment out yielded the 100% rate by an average of 12.7 bushels!
  • 7:1 ratio was achieved when the treatment is 50% the recommended in-furrow rate with NanoCS™ , that’s just on bushels alone. Think of 50% less liquid fertilizer to handle at planting, less fill time, less logistical coordination to get product to the field, and less money needed for liquid in-furrow products.

As you can see, NanoCS™ is a proven winner; a proven tool to help famers better manage their planting programs. I often get asked why does the 50% less fertilizer applied treatments outperform the full rate treatments when nanoliquid is included? For in-furrow I think the easy answer is less salt applied near the seed. We did use “low salt” fertilizers in the trials, but they do still contain salt. Plus, how do we know the in-furrow rates being recommended are the right rates? We don’t. The common rates of 5-6 gallons per acre could have been set by a bean counter in the back room for all we know. Growers know what works best on their farms, now with NanoCS™ we have provided them a proven tool to help manage costs, time, and grow yield.

“100%” is the full or 100% rate of the recommended liquid in-furrow treatment plus 6 ounces of NanoCS™. “50%” is half or 50% of the full recommended rate of liquid in-furrow treatment plus 6 ounces of NanoCS™

National Agronomist Joe Pflum and CRO Jim Krebsbach discuss the science behind NanoCS and its applications across the United States as a nanoliquid crop starter enhancer.  Joe's success with using NanoCS and nanoliquids on his own family farm turned into accepting his agronomist position with Aqua-Yield.
