A trial was recently conducted by TriYield of Arcadia, Florida to understand how NanoPro® can increase the efficiency of a broad-spectrum fungicide. Luna Tranquility®, a product by Bayer CropScience®, was aerial applied to a potato crop at a rate of 11 oz/ac and 5 gal of water. Another plot area was sprayed with 4 oz/ac NanoPro added to the fungicide. The active ingredients in Luna Tranquility® include Fluopyram and Pyrimethranil. According to Bayer CropScience, “Luna Tranquility® provides excellent leaf spot complex protection (early blight and brown leaf spot), including strains with reduced sensitivity to Group 11 and current Group 7 fungicides. It also protects against white mold and black dot.”

Lab Results

At 2 hours applications of Luna Tranquility alone showed “undetected” concentrations whereas Luna Tranquility mixed with NanoPro had detectable levels. NanoPro delivered the product more quickly to the plant, allowing more time for the systemic nature of the fungicide to mobilize throughout the potato plant. NanoPro also delivered higher concentrations of product to the plant, providing superior protection against plant disease.
