Dr. Chris giving a tour of the Aqua-Yield greenhouse where some trials are conducted.

As the applications and utility of high-efficiency fertilizer products like ours expand, so too will the need for visualization and characterization of its impacts both in crop physiology, agronomic performance, as well as monitoring of ecological impacts in crop fertility or pest/disease control. We here at the AY R&D team have recent advances in drone sensing/imagery, AI & machine learning and additional technologies to leverage our 6+ years of customer and research trial data to develop value-added tools. These, as well as future studies, will be leveraged to develop robust understanding of how our improved nutrient and pesticide delivery to crops manifests in things like observed gains in canopy photosynthesis, chlorophyll content, approximate stress status, etc., all currently accessible through common agricultural drone services.

The farm, greenhouse, soil, weather, fertility inputs and general environment can produce a very biologically complex space. This makes it pretty tricky to develop models allowing our product users to input their unique conditions, and extrapolate what use of AY-technology may happen on your site. Ultimately though, this is our goal. We have lots of end-user informational tools like this on our long-term radar. Our mission is to help you help your operations, and that doesn’t end at our bottle cap! We’re looking forward to using these technologies to highlight the role of Aqua-Yield products in the agricultural and horticultural space from row crops in southern CA to the cranberry bogs of the northeast.
