Nano-Yield is excited to announce that after 3 years of rigorous testing through Beck’s Practical Farm Research Program (PFR), NanoPro and NanoN+ are now “PFR PROVEN”.

Born in 1937,
Beck's is the largest family-owned retail seed company and the third-largest seed brand in the U.S., dedicated to serving farmers throughout the Midwest and Mid-South.

Beck’s PFR is an unbiased, comprehensive trial program that helps growers maximize their yield beyond seed genetics, through new products and technologies.  Each year they collect results from hundreds of studies at multiple locations on products, management practices, systems, equipment, and brand-new farming concepts.   According to Beck’s: “For a product or practice to become PFR Proven, it must continuously provide positive yield gains each year and average an increased return on investment for a minimum of three years.”

Beck’s has known to be a leader in the ag industry, with a unique culture and focus on helping growers across the country succeed.  The
PFR Book is an excellent tool that many growers look at for helping make the most out of their investments and maximizing yield.

Corn Starter Trials with NanoN+

For a third year in a row, NanoN+ has proven to be an excellent option when adding to UAN corn starter applications.  This year produced a $7.92 ROI, with an overall 3-year average $17.54 ROI.

At just 4 oz/ac, NanoN+ helps drive nutrition from planting and sidedress to foliar applications.

Soybean Foliar Trials with NanoPro

NanoPro has also been proven to provide great returns; this year has produced a $19.20 ROI with replicated pesticide applications across multiple states.  When applied with Versa Max® Mn at V4, there was an average $10.11 ROI over 3 years.   When applied with a fungicide and insecticide combo at R3, there was an average $17.16 ROI over 3 years.

4 oz/ac of NanoPro helps drive crop inputs with every application.

Urea Coating Trial with NanoCote Core

NanoCote Core is a newly released dry fertilizer coating and the latest product to be tested with Beck’s. 2024 was the first year of Beck’s trials with NanoCote core. Urea applied at different rates was tested with and without a coating of NanoCote™ Core.  The lower application rates of urea and NanoCote Core achieved a higher ROI of $28.22.

Nano-coated technology is an environmentally sustainable crop solution for improving plant uptake of agricultural inputs at just 2-4 qts/ton of prilled or granular fertilizer. Ask your sales representative about
NanoCote Core as an alternative nitrogen stabilizing technology.

Nano-Yield® would like to congratulate Joel Mahin on his recent promotion to Director of Central Region Sales. Joel’s extensive background in agriculture has given him the valuable knowledge that he brings to work every day. He has experience in production, retail, distribution, agronomy, product development, and sales. As he completes his third sales season at Nano-Yield®, Joel continues to exceed expectations and contribute to the overall growth and success of his distributors, dealers, and growers. Joel started at Nano-Yield® as a Regional Sales Manager, covering Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma. While these states remain part of his territory, Joel is now stepping into the role of Director of Central Region Sales. He will serve as a manager to Regional Sales Managers who cover the Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, and Arkansas regions. Joel said that bringing affordable products that work to the market is what motivates him every day. He wants to help growers succeed while contributing to the growth of his distributors and dealers. Joel hopes to pass on his knowledge and view of the business to the next generation. He said that the thing he enjoys the most about working for Nano-Yield® is the family atmosphere. When asked about his new role, Joel said the following: “I relish the challenge. I’m not done growing in Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. I want to take the model that I started in those three states and spread it to the other areas. There’s still room to grow — we’re not done yet.” Joel is known for his positive attitude, contagious energy, and ability to motivate others around him. When Joel is around, his peers know it’s going to be a fun and successful day. Mark Mitchell, Nano-Yield® Director of Sales U.S., said, “Joel earned this promotion through hard work, excellent sales numbers, and his team respects him and they trust him.” He added that Joel truly cares about his customers. He is a great team player, works well with others, and knows how to get the most out of his team. He’s selfless and all about Nano-Yield®. Landon Bunderson, Nano-Yield® CSO, said, “Joel always leads by example. He sets the tone for how to treat a customer and how to be successful.” We look forward to seeing what Joel accomplishes in his new role and are excited for the years to come. From everyone at Nano-Yield®, congratulations, Joel!
