With August right around the corner, the R&D team at Aqua-Yield is busy thinking about summer stress and helping our growers deliver the nutrients needed to finish up their crops.

This season over half the country finds itself in nearly unprecedented heat. Here, water management as well as potassium, calcium and even sulfur fertility can have a strong impact on crops' heat and stress tolerance. Consider late-summer potassium application with inclusion of NanoK to help thicken your crop tissue's cell walls, helping to retain water content. Light application of late-season calcium and sulfur can also have an important role in crops' ability to kick-on stress-fighting mechanisms, whether applied overhead as a foliar or soil treatment.

In the meantime, long term research highlighting the environmental impacts of growers' use of Aqua-Yield products continue to come in. At UC Davis with Professor Sanjai Parikh, early field and simulated drift experimental conditions seems to suggest Aqua-Yield technology's interaction with soil colloids appears to mitigate risk of soil erosion through wind and water. Field data from our large corporate growers and collaborators in central FL and CA also continue to come in, with fantastic results! After their first year of use, we're seeing reports of bumper fruit set, yield quantity and quality in sweet cherry, grape, potato and tree nuts after supplementing their existing calcium fertility programs with NanoCalSi. The extreme heat in the Western US as well as recent bouts of prolonged rain in TX and the southern plains have put strong weed pressures onto many of our growers final weeks of the 2021 season. We continue to hear growers' praise of NanoPro as an aide in burning down resistant, troublesome weeds before they're able to sink roots or set seeds and continue to pose a problem. Consider using NanoPro in your herbicide applications to put your treatments over the edge and be sure you won't see those weeds' next generation.

In modern agriculture, efficiency, consistency, and product quality are more important than ever. Fertilizer blenders are at the heart of this process, and using NanoCote™ can make a big difference in operations, equipment longevity, and the end product. Cleaner, Safer Operations One of the biggest challenges for blenders is dust. Dust not only creates a mess but also contributes to equipment wear and potential product loss. NanoCote™ tackles this problem head-on, reducing dust by up to 99%. The result? Cleaner equipment, less maintenance, and a safer environment for workers. Simpler, Faster Application Applying coatings to fertilizer can be a time-consuming and complex task—especially if heat or specialized equipment is required. NanoCote™ is designed to blend easily and dry quickly, without the need for additional machinery. With only 3–4 quarts per ton required, blenders can achieve consistent coverage without altering the fertilizer’s nutrient profile. Boosted Efficiency and Product Quality NanoCote™ doesn’t just make operations cleaner—it also helps improve throughput. Its uniform coating ensures that each granule is protected and nutrient-rich, preventing segregation and enhancing overall product quality. Plus, after application nutrients are protected in the soil with increased uptake efficiency to support higher yield. Environmental and Economic Advantages NanoCote™ is biodegradable, protecting fertilizer nutrients while keeping soil biology safe. And by reducing dust and minimizing wear on equipment, blenders save money on maintenance and replacement costs. Plus, consistent high-quality products translate to better crop performance, stronger relationships with customers, and increased business success. Why Blenders Love NanoCote™ From cleaner operations to cost savings, NanoCote™ provides tangible benefits at every stage of the blending process. It’s a smart choice for fertilizer blenders who want to enhance operational efficiency, improve product quality, and support sustainable practices. NanoCote™ is changing the way fertilizer blenders operate—one granule at a time.
