Cotton defoliants are used to remove leaves to make harvests easier, resulting in higher grade cotton. Applications with NanoPro ® improves overall cotton defoliation through patented nanoliquid technology in only just one or two passes.
NanoPro ® by Aqua-Yield ® nanoliquid technology can be added to most dessication spray mixtures as a carrier adjuvant for efficient uptake. This product is field tested and grower approved to provide an affordable, faster defoliation with decreased regrowth.

Easy handling and mixing guidelines:
For defoliation, add the water first (20-100 gal./ac), then water conditioner (i.e. AMS, pH control), 4 oz./ac NanoPro
®
, then dessication product.
Aqua-Yield
®
products are clean, easy to use solutions that are designed to enhance the efficiency of your crop inputs. Our recommendation for a specific grower may change based on soil test or in-season tissue testing. Aqua-Yield products can be tank mixed with most crop protection products. Always perform a jar test to confirm compatibility of products before mixing. Please see an agronomist or Aqua-Yield representative for more specific recommendations.



University trials show NanoPro ® offers efficiency
NanoPro

with applications of Thidiazuron and Folex
NanoPro ® added to the regular treatment blend of Thidiazuron and Folex resulted in improved cotton defoliation and decreased regrowth in all treatments. In both the irrigated and non-irrigated fields, the 50% Regular+NanoPro ® treatment provided excellent and statistically similar control to the 100% Regular+NIS and 100% Regular+NanoPro ® treatments. In the irrigated field, regrowth was similar between all treatments (data not shown). In the non-irrigated field, the 50% rates resulted in more re-growth. In conclusion, NanoPro ® performance was superior compared to NIS for cotton defoliation, and may allow for drastic savings on active ingredient costs.
