Sandy, UT — To assist with growth as the company expands internationally, Nano-Yield today named Mark Slavens, Ph.D. as its new president and Chief Operations Officer. Slavens had been Chief Innovation Officer for Aqua-Yield since January of 2022.  In his new role, Slavens will oversee all corporate operations and brands.  The announcement was made by Nano-Yield CEO and Co-founder, Clark T. Bell. “In under two years, Mark has led our innovations efforts, launched new brands and increased our technology stack. Mark is the perfect fit to lead the development of our growing line of brands as we continue to grow”, Bell said.

The move strengthens the structure in the company, with Nano-Yield being the corporate name and International brand, while the Aqua-Yield®️ brand will focus specifically on domestic operations.  With the move, Nano-Yield now includes four separate business entities: Nano-Yield for all operations including international focus; Aqua-Yield, with its primary focus on the USA; Turf NanoTech™ and its focus on products used primarily on professional turf (golf courses, sports fields and landscape management), NanoCote™ with its focus on granular input coatings and the company’s increasing efforts to establish business to business technology partnership agreements around the world.

“Nanotechnology within agriculture requires continual and consistent innovation,” says Mark Slavens.  “We strive on a daily basis to produce products and processes that will benefit the farmer. My new role as President and COO, simply allows Nano-Yield to work towards these goals with sights set on the entire worldwide organization. I couldn’t be more honored to help lead this company to what we truly believe is a course to maintain our position as the world leader in agriculture-based nanotechnology”

Along with Slavens’ move to President and COO, others have also been given new responsibilities.  Landon Bunderson, Ph.D. will remain as the Chief Science Officer, and will now also oversee all aspects of Aqua-Yield’s domestic products and practices as General Manager.  Brooke Rosqvist was named Brand Manager of the company’s new granular coating division - NanoCote™, Garrett Olsen was named Director of R&D, and Josh Roberts, in addition to his Chief Financial Officer responsibilities, will continue to lead the Nano-Yield supply chain.
